Album Review: Sweat – In Dreams

Album Review: Sweat – In Dreams

Tee Pee Records – September 25th, 2026

Reviewer – Dan Mann

I was first made aware of Sweat when I was sent their debut album ‘Who Do They Think They Are?‘ to review back in 2023, and it was a pleasent suprise when their new album ‘In Dreams‘ hit my inbox.

So what are Sweat like? Well if you’ve watched the Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, you’re certainly heading in the right direction.

With large helpings of classic British 70’s rock, mixed with that California sound, all supplied by a Pittsburgh-based band with a Swiss vocalist, namely Sue Pedrazzi.

Yes it’s retro, but it’s modern retro. Eh? Let me explain, or at least try too. The band have once again taken all those classic rock elements and fused them into a crisp, fresh take, all without sounding cheesy. ‘In Dreams‘ is the perfect antidote for modern life. I’ve played the album quite a few times since receipt of it, listening on a decent pair of cans you can appreciate the production and quality of this release.

Hats off to the whole band for delivering such an aural delight. Joining Sue, is Richard Stanley on guitar, Dan Hernandez on bass duties, and Kayla Schureman on drums. This four piece have once again produced an album I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening too.

Whilst vinyl has become trendy to collect, ‘In Dreams‘ is a perfect example of an album to sit back and actually enjoy listening to on said format, not to be bought for buying sake! Fingers crossed Tee Pee Records release it on vinyl like they did with ‘Who Do They Think They Are?

Highly recommended.
