Phil Vincent Releases ‘Passive Aggressive’ On October 21st

Phil Vincent returns with ‘Passive Aggressive‘, another powerful dose of melodic hard rock from one of the genre’s most prolific musicians.

Never one to stand still for very long, Phil once again combines heavy guitars, huge melodies and instantly memorable hooks with the musical diversity that has become such an important part of his work. ‘Passive Aggressive‘ moves effortlessly between hard-driving rock, more reflective moments and classic melodic rock, while unmistakably sounding like a Phil Vincent album throughout.

This time around, some of Phil’s musical roots are particularly easy to recognize. Influences ranging from Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and Max Webster to The Beatles, Stryper, Eagles, Eric Carmen and Crack the Sky all find their way into the album’s broad musical palette.

The digital edition features eleven tracks, including Phil’s interpretation of the Eagles’ ‘After the Thrill Is Gone‘. The CD adds two exclusive tracks: his version of the Eric Carmen classic ‘All By Myself‘ and ‘Turn Up the Music‘, originally recorded by Sammy Hagar.

As always, Phil handles the vast majority of the instrumentation himself, joined by longtime collaborators Max Piccolo on drums and Vince O’Regan on lead guitars. Shaun McGovern contributes lead guitar to ‘Memory of Yesterday‘. The album was once again mastered by Jacob Hansen.

Melodic, heavy, emotional and unmistakably Phil Vincent: ‘Passive Aggressive‘ proves once more that after three decades of releasing music, there is still no sign of him slowing down.
