Welsh singer-songwriter Laura Evans returns with her second single ‘Nobody Loves Me Like You‘ the second release from her highly anticipated second album ‘Out of the Dark‘ being released this October. Offering a powerful glimpse into her evolving sound. Co-written and produced by Ian Barter (Paloma Faith, Amy Winehouse, Dermot Kennedy), the track blends moody bluesy verses with a soaring chorus, spotlighting Laura’s emotive song writing and unmistakable vocals.
With nearly 3 million Spotify streams, Laura continues to build momentum, earning strong support from BBC Radio 2, including the daytime playlist, Cerys Matthews’ Blues Show, and BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List. ‘Nobody Loves Me Like You‘ marks a fresh creative chapter, leaning confidently into blues/ soul textures while staying true to storytelling lyrics.
Talking about the writing process Laura said “I co-wrote this song pretty quickly with my producer Ian Barter, I wanted the album to have a gritty /bluesy love song with a big chorus and something that could really push me vocally, I also wanted this song to tell a story, so I started thinking about and describing the day I first met my husband on a rainy day, then the song just wrote itself. I love a bluesy ballad and it’s one of my personal favourites on the album”
Laura’s long-awaited 12-track album ‘Out of the Dark‘ is set for release on October 17th, with more singles to follow in the coming months.
