‘A Scar To Remember‘, the third single and almost-title track from the new album by the blues rock power trio Blindstone, is out today, merely a week before the record release.
The lyrics were written by lyricist Peter Svensson (Gauntlet Rule, Assassin’s Blade), with music by Blindstone‘s guitarist and singer Martin Jepsen Andersen. “A soul-searching, reflective song, it deals with the changes that life brings along, the choices you have to make, and the consequences of those choices”, Martin states. “The song was written as a fictional “break-up song”, but could really be about the end of any type of relationship: A romantic one, a friendship, or even a working relationship”, he says.
Musically, ‘A Scar To Remember’ bears witness to Blindstone’s fondness for 70’s guitar heroes such as Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Uli Jon Roth, and others.
