Heavy Week-End 2027: The Fourth Edition Reveals Its Headliners

On the 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2027, Heavy Week-End returns for its fourth edition: three days of metal in every form at the open-air amphitheatre of the Zénith de Nancy, in eastern France. Capacity is held at 20,000 a day, with close to 10,000 seats in the stands.

In only three editions, Heavy Week-End has hosted some of the biggest names in rock and metal history: Scorpions, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Gojira, Deep Purple, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Dream Theater, Electric Callboy and Sabaton. Today the festival announces the headliners of its 2027 bill.

The Headliners

Friday 4th June  German heavy metal legends Helloween extend their 40 Years Anniversary Tour, which began in 2025.

Saturday 5th June  American phenomenon Falling in Reverse, a band almost never seen on a French stage, headline the Saturday night.

Sunday 6th June  The icon of industrial metal, Marilyn Manson, closes the festival.

More bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

A Festival Built Around The Music

Close to 40,000 spectators came through the gates over three days in June 2026, and Heavy Week-End has earned its place on the circuit of Europe’s great summer festivals. Its secret is a formula fans have voted for with their feet: four bands a day, one after the other, on a single main stage. No clashes, no sprinting between tents. The human-scale format gives the audience maximum comfort, a perfect view from every seat and every spot in the pit, and sound that does the bands justice.

The Venue: A Concrete Arena Built For Rock

Opened in 1993, the Zénith de Nancy was the first venue in Europe with a reversible stage that opens onto an open-air amphitheatre. Set among trees on the edge of the city, in Maxéville, the concrete arena has become the home of metal and hard rock in the Grand Est. Long before Heavy Week-End moved in, it hosted some of the biggest concerts ever staged in France: Guns N’ Roses (1993), AC/DC (1996), Slipknot (2005), Scorpions (2012), Rammstein (2013) and System of a Down (2017). Stone stands rise around a standing pit, so every ticket holder is close to the stage.

Nancy: Closer Than You Think

Nancy is the historic capital of the Dukes of Lorraine, in eastern France between Paris and the German border. Its centrepiece, Place Stanislas, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. The city is compact and walkable, with more than 2,500 hotel rooms within reach of the railway station, and with the music starting in the late afternoon the days are free for the old town, the Art Nouveau quarter, the restaurants and the bars where the festival spills over each night.

  • From Paris: 90 minutes by TGV from Gare de l’Est, with direct connections from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.
  • From the UK and Ireland: fly to Paris, Luxembourg or Strasbourg. London to Nancy is under five hours door to door via Eurostar and TGV.
  • From Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and Switzerland: Nancy is a drive or a train ride away. Metz is under an hour; Luxembourg, Saarbrücken and Strasbourg about 90 minutes.
  • From North America: fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle, then the TGV direct to Nancy.
