The single captures Boneyard at full strength, a cinematic collision of harmony‑driven guitars, gang‑vocal battle cries, and a razor‑sharp melodic solo that slices through the chaos.

“As the battle between ships comes into being, the guitars create mood and pacing that work together to amplify the song’s message of struggle and forward motion toward conflict. A blend of harmony guitars ensues as the ships clash, cannons are fired, and pirates board to take over the losing ship and its gold. In the end, they win the war and leave the ship downed with its crew,” adds vocalist and guitarist Pamtera.

Boneyard’s second full‑length album, “Black Static,” marks a defining leap forward for the band. With bassist/vocalist Lezzy and lead guitarist Garhardt now fully integrated into the lineup, their sound has evolved into a richer, more dynamic fusion of modern female‑fronted hard rock and classic heavy metal. The record follows their 202 debut album ‘Oathbreaker‘, later re‑released internationally through WormHoleDeath Records and mastered by Grammy‑nominated engineer Maor Appelbaum, while pushing into new territory shaped by the band’s refreshed creative chemistry.

Featuring nine diverse tracks that span traditional metal weight, punk‑charged intensity, and cinematic Western‑metal storytelling, ‘Black Static‘ showcases the powerful contributions of both Lezzy and Garhardt, whose arrival has sparked major anticipation among fans.

“An extension of ‘Oathbreaker‘, but shaped heavily by the new members involved, ‘Black Static‘ is quite different more diverse, more melodic, and more emotionally charged,” says drummer Jefftimus.

Lyrically, ‘Black Static‘ dives into deeply personal and socially heavy themes, trauma, mental‑health deterioration, human trafficking, generational addiction, and grief, while still threading hope, resilience, and empowerment throughout. Legendary Calgary artist Tom Bagley once again brings the album’s visual identity to life, returning to illustrate their mascot, Misty Bone, on the cover.

Beyond the riffs, Boneyard stands out for its representation: a Métis drummer, a female LGBTQ+ bassist, and a commitment to authenticity and inclusion within the rock and metal scene.
