King Kraken Release New Single ‘I Am The Apocalypse’ On 17th July

King Kraken unleash their second single of 2026 with ‘I Am The Apocalypse‘. An ominous, stomping, menace ridden track that delves deep into dark themes of false prophets, blind devotion and dangerous cult mentality.

Pre-save – here

This track was written from the ground up with a monolithic chorus that will have you chanting long after the final note has faded. With a groove that hits like a truck full of sledgehammers, the trademark soaring guitar solo and dramatic pause or 2. This literally made fingers bleed in the studio.
This is 100% unforgiving Kraken, heavy with light and shade, stronger than ever!

King Kraken is a four-piece Rock/Metal band from South Wales, UK. In 2025 they released their second album, ‘March of the Gods‘ (review here), with two of their four singles playlisted on Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio. Positive album reviews poured in, including reviews from big hitters such as Kerrang and features in Metal Hammer magazine. With a new album and hefty praise from the rock/metal press, the band headed out on a headline tour.

The band has played Bloodstock Festival, Call of the Wild, Planet Rock’s Rockstock and Stonedead Festival. They were the first band to play the Bloodstock Winter Gathering event at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. The band has played with some heavyweight artists including The Almighty, The Dead Daisies, Crobot, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Monster Truck, The Sweet, Geoff Tate and Crowbar.

2026 is also proving to be another big year for King Kraken, with them hitting the main stage at Call Of The Wild Festival plus opening up Steelhouse Festival in July. If that wasn’t enough, they have also secured a slot at Chepstow Castle in August alongside Chris Holmes (WASP) and Tygers of Pan Tang.

With numerous events around the UK there is no sign of this train slowing down!
