Do you remember the first time the power of music truly hit you? The first time a loud guitar, a huge chorus and a larger-than-life melody made the world feel bigger?
Holly Furuström does.
Exola releases the brand-new single ‘Hey Brother!‘, an explosive 80s-inspired rock anthem where Swedish hair metal spirit meets blazing guitars, massive hooks and pure feel-good attitude. Loud, catchy and built for summer, the track captures everything Exola is about: fun, energy, big choruses and the unstoppable excitement of discovering rock music for the first time.

‘Hey Brother!‘ also anticipates the release of Exola’s upcoming EP ‘Rocks!‘, available from August 8th, 2026. The EP gathers Holly’s four singles into one powerful and playful collection, including ‘Rock and Roll‘, ‘Tuff Och Smart‘, ‘Girls Girls Girls‘ and ‘Hey Brother!‘.
A very special highlight on the EP is the 2026 version of ‘Tuff Och Smart‘, featuring Kai Hansen as guest. Originally released in January 2025, the song returns on ‘Rocks!‘ in an even more powerful version, drenched in full heavy metal energy.
Exola began in 2024, after Holly Furuström was inspired to start her own band following a prime-time TV performance by Swedish metal duo Scarlet. But her first spark came even earlier, at just three years old, when the movie ‘Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock And Roll Mystery’ opened the door to the world of loud guitars, big choruses and rock and roll imagination.
In the summer of 2024, Holly recorded and released her first song, “Rock and Roll”, a party anthem that openly celebrated her love for Kiss. What was originally meant to be a one-time fun project soon became the beginning of something much bigger.
At the end of 2024, shortly before Holly’s fifth birthday, the pounding heavy metal track ‘Tuff Och Smart‘ was recorded. Released in January 2025, the song drew inspiration from the German heavy metal scene of the 80s. As Holly herself explained: “I wanted a song that sounds like the music my dad plays in the car.”
In 2025, Exola returned with ‘Girls Girls Girls‘, an upbeat track that perfectly captured the essence of the project: good times, 80s pop fascination, modern synth-pop colors and the kind of carefree energy that feels like eating ice cream for lunch.
Now, with ‘Hey Brother!‘, Exola takes another step forward. The single is a full-on 80s stomper, packed with hair metal flavor, burning guitars and an attitude that refuses to stay quiet. Calling it one of the soundtracks of summer 2026 may be bold, but in this case, it feels absolutely right.
All vocal melodies are composed entirely by Holly Furuström, while the music is written and performed by the ever-talented Cederick Forsberg of Blazon Stone, who provides all instruments and backing vocals, creating the perfect Rock and Metal universe around Holly’s melodies.
Line-up:
Holly Furuström – vocals
Cederick Forsberg – all instruments and backing vocals
