Blues Rock guitarist Eric Sardinas will replace Battleaxe at Time To Rock Festival 2026.
Says the festival:
“The saddest thing is when a band cancels. When they cancel because they consider it problematic to travel from England to Sweden in these times, it becomes even sadder. But we have tried to explain to Battleaxe that there is no problem at all to fly to Sweden, but without success.
“With short notice and many things we have to go to print etc, we do not have time to try to find a replacement in the same genre.
“However, we can proudly present Florida-born guitarist and blues rocker Eric Sardinas. He has made a name for himself for his live performances and for playing an extremely cool resonator guitar. Sardinas started playing guitar at the age of six and listened a lot to Delta bluesmen such as Charlie Patton, Bukka White, Big Bill Broonzy, Elmore James and Muddy Waters. Although he was left-handed, he eventually started playing right-handed. For those of you who may not be blues freaks, we can only recommend you go and see the show, because here we are talking about a live performance that will not leave anyone the same again. There is so much energy and excitement when he starts playing, it”s ridiculous. Once when he lit his guitar on fire on stage in Sydney, he burned himself pretty bad. Don”t miss this!”
Eric Sardinas will play on Sunday, July 5th.
