Review: Sabaton & The Legendary Orchestra (The Legendary Tour)

Blimey, where does one start when it comes to this gig? A packed Motorpoint Arena, filled with the Sabaton faithful, an orchestra playing Sabaton songs before the headliners, this was quite simply… off the scale!

I think one good observation would be, if you’ve never been to a metal concert, you’re curious maybe to what it’s like, well an evening spent in the company of Sabaton and thier fans would be the perfect place to start.

Let’s mention the stage set. A castle, and not a small one at that! It is fantastic to see thse large sets, they always make a concert that little bit more special. And don’t forget the costumes, the extras, be they WW1 soldiers, Napolion, Gengis Khan or Julius Ceaser!  And then you add in a healthy slice of power metal.

I could bang on relentlessly about every single aspect of the show, but there was so much to take in. I will add that from a photographer’s aspect, it was without doubt the best organised show I’ve shot at. We weren’t treated like a nessesary annoyance, rather we were helpfully guided as to what would possibly be the best shots to get and from where etc. A big thank you to Nick and the team for your help.

If you get the chance to catch Sabaton and The Legendary Orchestra, then grab it. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed!
