Review: Kickin Valentina, Sisters Doll

Yardbirds was lively on Sunday night for the return of Kickin Valentina, who are on the road for the Star Spangled Fist Fight UK Tour.

First up on the stage, Sisters Doll from Australia.

Right from the start they laid riff after riff and took ownership of the stage, an incredible performance with a stage presence to match.

Grimsby was only the fifth performance in the UK for the four brothers, so not many people have had opportunity to see them live in the UK yet.

Four songs in at it was revealed that they have had the pleasure of having a carvery and ‘Yorkshire Puddings’ whist in the area.

I’m looking forward to hearing more from Sisters Doll and catching them play again.

They are also making a festival appearance at this year’s Call Of The Wild Festival 29th May – 1st June 2025. Lincolnshire Showground.

On to the night’s headliners Kickin Valentina.

A good turn out of loyal fans who enjoyed the energy and let the unapologetic rock pour out over them.

Like a freight train song after song of shear hard rock n roll, its, no wonder KV have such a solid and loyal following here in the UK and elsewhere. The venue was alive, with everyone singing along and having a fantastic time the 14 song set soon seemed to pass.

During the final song ‘Get Ready‘, Sisters Doll joined Kicking Valentina on stage, complete  with a sip of Jack Daniels as they added backing vocals along the way.
