After the release of their second album ‘Broken Silence‘ and some touring with Marc Broussard and Robert John & The Wreck, Ivy Gold concentrated on some creative song writing for a new upcoming album. Furthermore the band had the idea to record a cover song in a live setting: 5 musicians, 5 instruments but only 1 TAKE!
Manou: “I had the great honor and pleasure to record one of my most favorite songs live during a special session at Masterlink Production Studios in the UK. ‘Sara Smile‘ by Hall & Oates is a lovely tune that I always loved a lot and so I put this awesome band together!
With Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds) on drums, Stefan Redtenbacher (Steve Winwood, Amy Winehouse)on bass, Matt Girling on keys, and of course Sebastian Eder (Avalon) on guitar, we captured special live vibes and moments in the studio. A truly inspiring experience working with such talented musicians, producers and filmmakers.”
