Phantomy from Iisalmi, Finland is releasing their debut single ‘High Octane‘, which will be featured on the band’s upcoming debut album ‘From the Wild‘, set for release on June 13^th 2025 via Inverse Records.

‘From the Wild‘ offers listeners a heavy dose of old-school rock’n’roll attitude blended with hard rock and heavy metal — the kind of music that’s made to blast in smoke-filled garages and inside beer-soaked, velvet-upholstered muscle cars.

‘High Octane‘ represents the catchier and lighter side of the album, but the band still keeps the pedal firmly to the metal. When the intro kicks off, the listener won’t dare — or even want — to jump off this ride.

Phantomy’s guitarist Rasmus Laurila describes the song:

“The guys in the band used to describe our music as high-octane rock’n’roll, and that’s where the idea for the whole song came from.

One time at our cabin, after a few beers, I was just jamming on my acoustic guitar and almost the entire song came together in just a few minutes — starting from the intros hard rocking boogieriff. Later on, I wrote the vocals and wanted to throw in some epic 80s-style harmonies and high-soaring singing.The song ended up being exactly what I wanted: full throttle from start to finish, and it really reflects who we are as a band.”
