Sonus Corona is a progressive band from Turku, Finland. The band combines intense musical atmospheres accompanied with heavy riffs and strong melodies and relies on stellar songwriting. They say they have been heavily influenced by Haken, Toto, Tool, Dream Theater and Leprous.

The band released a new music video for ‘Illusions‘ which is an all-acoustic track.

Vocalist Timo Mustonen comment:
“I love this song. It’s like a dream; the protagonist is taken away from his depressing mindset and surroundings for a while. The video we made underlines this. He’s sort of out of himself, and sees the world in a different light. It’s the first all-acoustic song we’ve ever made. Because of the concept of the song, and it being a rarity amongst all our songs, we wanted to keep it simplistic. I also like the in-the-middle-of-the-night theme we chose for the video.

The lyrics on this one came to be in an unorthodox manner. Ari hummed in an imaginary language on the demo he made of the song. I then made a transliteration of what I heard into words and sentences in English. This version actually included some phrases you hear in the finished song. We found out it’s a dreamy kind of song immediately, and wanted to keep it that way. Me, Ari and Esa then tweaked the lyrics into a story that fits the album as well.”

Time Is Not On Your Side‘ album is released on November 22nd by Inverse Records.

Finnish symphonic metal band Vinide have released a new music video for ‘Reveal‘, from their eponymous concept album which was released last year via Inverse Records.

Vocalist Elmeri Kinnunen comment:
The story of the album goes on. Our hero has escaped from the mental asylum and he is in a desperate search for a hiding place. He founds an abandoned house and during his hide, he finds out some things about his past and present. Vinide is going to make some video releases concerning about the ‘Reveal’ album. After that, the band is going to think what is their next move.

Reveal‘ is a science fiction story about a large information technology company “OMEGA’s” former employee who finds himself locked in a mental asylum and is even sentenced to death. After he escapes the asylum he starts to find out what is really going on and what is the biggest interest of OMEGA’s artificial intelligence project. The fears of the future seem to come true meanwhile the humankind is driving itself towards definite termination. The story goes on and a lot of plot twists are going to happen. How big is the urge to create something that humans don’t fully understand? What is going to happen to our hero during his journey finding out the origin of everything? wishing-well

Finnish hard rockers Wishing Well have released a video for the song ‘Luck Is Blind’ from their critically acclaimed ‘Chasing Rainbows‘ album, which was released in February 2016 by Inverse Records.

We are still promoting the album and we thought that this time it would be good to come out with a little softer song. ‘Luck’ is a melodic and catchy tune with serious lyrics about injustice and inequality of the world. The song also features some cool keyboards by Juha “The Undertaker” Huhta and that gives the song some extra character. We’re even considering of using Hammond organ all the way on our next album”, says Anssi Korkiakoski, guitar player and songwriter of Wishing Well.

We didn’t want the video to be too complicated but decided that simple but well recorded stage video should do the trick. We shot and cut the video all by ourselves in Helsinki and it’s just us performing our music. We shall come up with more videos from the album and next time we’ll do something different.

Wishing Well are now promoting the album and booking shows for 2017. In the meanwhile writing and rehearsing new material is well underway and new material is expected to be released in late 2017.

Peter James Goodman – vocals
Rip Radioactive – drums
