American shred guitar legend Joe Stump returns with his newest effort ‘Symphonic Onslaught“, the anticipated follow up to his critically acclaimed 2015 release ‘The Dark Lord Rises‘ via Lion Music (Finland). ‘Symphonic Onslaught‘ can only be described as one fierce slab of guitar driven metal.

Symphonic Onslaught‘ contains everything you’ve come to expect from a Joe Stump solo release: Jaw dropping technical shred guitar pyrotechnics, dark classically influenced compositions containing strong melodies and killer riffs as well as the seamless blending of various schools of hard rock and metal music.

Once again this is another release that will appeal to both guitar enthusiasts as well as fans of guitar driven metal. Whether it’s the Hendrix meets Blackmore old school hard rock of Stratocastle or the black metal meets thrash meets power metal viciously heavy Facemelting Devastation or the neo-classically fueled Hit The Deck, Stump continues to proudly wear his influences on his
sleeve .

To those of you in guitar and metal circles, Joe Stump should need no introduction. The Shredlord has been raining down full throttle neoclassical /speed metal since ‘Guitar Dominance‘ was released over 25 years ago. He was named by Guitar One as one of the top 10 shredders of all time. By Guitar World as one of the 50 fastest players of all time and by Guitarist magazine as one of the top 20 shredders of all time. He has appeared in countless guitar and metal based publications, fanzines and webzines worldwide.

He has toured the world as both a solo artist and with metal bands Joe Stump’s Reign of Terror, HolyHell and Joe Stump’s Tower Of Babel. Joe has recently been announced as the new guitarist in the relaunching of Alcatrazz alongside legendary vocalist Graham Bonnet and original keyboard player Jimmy Waldo. A new Alcatrazz studio record as well as a world tour will follow.

Joe is also an Associate Professor at the esteemed Berklee College Of Music where he’s been the metal / shred guitar specialist for the last 25 years .

Symphonic Onslaught‘ marks Joe’s 11th solo release and once again the Shredlord continues to raise his game in every aspect.

Heavy Rockers Tower Of Babel featuring guitar shredder Joe Stump (Raven Lord, Holyhell) and mastermind Csaba Zvekan (vocals)  (Exorcism, Raven Lord, Metal Machine) have inked a record deal with the Swiss label Dream Records.

The record will be re-released with a brand new mix and master on an undisclosed release date via Dream Records.

Singer and producer of the record Csaba Zvekan comments:

“…Well, well, well. The record was taken down from the markets due to licensing issues. So then I found a new label Dream Records who will do a re-release for us. In the meantime I’m working on a new mix and master as I did not like what was previously released anyway.

The songs will be much more compact with the guitar solos cut shorter.
After all this is a band effort and not anybodies solo or instrumental record.
When I started this band with Craig Gruber (Rainbow, Elf, Gary Moore) I had a clear vision of the sound and role. Unfortunately I let way too much “ego” from certain players in the band take over and that will stop now.

“It’s going to be an exciting year 2016. With Nic Angileri, Mark Cross and Joe Stump we are working  already in Tower Of Babel and a couple of other bands. Me and Mark Cross have already discussed the possibility to join Exorcism last year. Now it has become a reality. I am very proud to have this World-class drummer in the band.

Exocism is picking up more and more live dates in Europe. So things might get much easier with an all European line up. We have chosen Tore Moren  who already played together with Nic Angileri on his solo projects as well as both played with Jorn Lande

Mark Cross

Mark Cross stated : “…Working with Exorcism is a new challenge and very inspiring. We started working with Zvekan in Tower Of Babel, which was big fun and the album turned out to be absolutely fantastic. Now I also set course onto Exorcism recordings and playing shows. The Sabbath moods in this band are very interesting and the lineup strong and superb. There´s nothing wrong with making new projects and playing in many bands, nowadays you gotta keep busy and play as much as you fuckin´can, you know what I mean?”…….See you on the road in May, looking forward to play some heavy drums for ya people!”

Tore Moren

Guitarist Tore Moren overjoyed comments:”…I´m very proud to be invited to join these hard rocking guys. They are great musicians, and we hit it off instantly. This is going to be a new era for both me and Exorcism – and I once again have the pleasure of working with my long-time brother Nic (Angileri). We´re ready to kick ass!…”

Tower Of Babel

Singer/producer Csaba Zvekan (Exorcism, Metal Machine, Zvekan), guitarist Joe Stump (Exorcism, Holy Hell), drummer Mark Cross (Tainted Nation, ex Firewind,Helloween), keyboard/hammond player Maestro Mistheria (Vivaldi Metal Project, Mistheria) and bassist Andreas Passmark (Royal Hunt) have joined forces in a new band called Tower Of Babel.

To keep fans on the edge of their seats, the band released this snippet of a demo they’ve titled ‘Dragon Slayer’:

The band was formed by singer/producer Csaba Zvekan (Exorcism, Metal Machine, Zvekan) on vocals and Joe Stump, Guitar player of the bands Exorcism & Holy Hell and bass player Craig Gruber, who was known for his work with Rainbow, Elf, Gary Moore and more.

This lead to the idea of making a powerful album, an album with original compositions bringing back the sound and feel of early Rainbow/Dio era with classic and new elements.

Craig Gruber sadly passed away on May 5, 2015 due to a longtime fight with prostate and bone cancer. May you rest in peace – over the rainbow!!!

Powerhouse drummer Mark Cross (Tainted Nation, ex Firewind, Helloween) was added to the line up, on keyboards/hammond, the talented Italian Maestro Mistheria (Vivaldi Metal Project, Mistheria) and Andreas Passmark from Royal Hunt on bass guitar, who gave his final touch to this extraordinary ensemble.

Their first album is in recording progress, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
