USA good time rockers Big Engine are thrilled to return with the bluesy slide guitar laden and sparkling keys infused ‘Hot Summer Night’ out now on all good digital platforms. On the theme of the song, their first in over a year, front man and lead guitarist Tony Mikus muses “It’s a reflection of people searching for temporary satisfaction and those who profit off other’s desperation to satisfy desires. There’s something in human nature to seek excitement and affirmation and the increasing anxiety as the clock ticks away on a hot summer night.”
Hailing from Jacksonville Florida USA Big Engine roars through biker rallies from Daytona to Sturgis, clubs and NASCAR events amassing an army of gear heads, bikers and race fans known affectionately as ‘Big Engine Freaks‘.
Even after playing over 150 shows a year, people just can’t get enough of their fun, old-school style rock shows and their high energy music. Along with the ‘Big Engine Freaks‘ that follow the boys from town to town, the uninitiated seldom last the entirety of the show without raising their fists in the air and singing along to the band’s catchy choruses and instantly memorable lyrics.
Founded and fronted by Tony Mikus, the band hits the highway bringing the party from town to town with crowd favorites from previous albums: ‘Shake That Thing’, ‘That Girl’s a Freak’, ‘Turn It On’ and ‘Party Like A Rock Star’. His voice is unique and powerful and he commands the stage with the confidence and wit of a true rock n’ roll front man.
In good company, Big Engine has shared the stage with rock household names Buckcherry, Motorhead, Bret Michaels, Vince Neil, Ted Nugent, Jackyl, Great White, Black Stone Cherry and many more – the band will be releasing new music in 2026 and into 2027.
