Elegacy announce today the release of ‘Theory of Sin‘, their third studio album, available now on CD and digital via Elevate Records.
More than a decade after ‘The Binding Sequence‘ — a work that solidified their reputation in the Italian progressive metal scene, also thanks to the participation of prominent international musicians — the band returns with a mature and ambitious album, the result of a long creative process that has refined and strengthened their sonic identity.
The classic lineup remains intact: Ivan Giannini on vocals, Constantin Terzago on keyboards, and Massimo La Russa on guitars.
A leading voice in Italian metal, Giannini boasts an impressive résumé that includes stints with Derdian and, above all, his role as singer in Vision Divine — the historic band of Olaf Thörsen — with whom he recorded ‘When All the Heroes Are Dead‘ (2019).
Joining the band in the recording studio is Federico Paulovich (Destrage), a guest drummer whose contribution enriches the album’s sound with precision and power.
‘Theory of Sin‘ consolidates Elegacy‘s heavy-prog essence in dialogue with contemporary sounds, staying true to the melodic and atmospheric approach that has always distinguished them. An album that does not dwell on progressive stereotypes, but embraces complexity with naturalness and direction.
Following the digital reissue of their first two albums, ‘Impressions‘ and ‘The Binding Sequence‘ — curated by Elevate Records itself — it felt natural for the band to entrust this new chapter to the label as well. ‘Theory of Sin‘ is now available on CD and all digital platforms.
