Hardline:
Hardline is an American rock band that was formed in 1992. Known for their blend of hard rock and melodic rock, they initially gained attention with their debut album ‘Double Eclipse‘ in 1992. The band’s original line-up featured powerhouse vocalist Johnny Gioeli, guitarist Neal Schon (Journey), and drummer Deen Castronovo (Journey). This star-studded formation contributed to the band’s early success and gave their music a polished, commercial sound.
‘Double Eclipse‘ featured several hits, including the popular songs ‘Hot Cherie‘ and ‘Takin’ Me Down‘, which helped to establish Hardline‘s reputation as a band capable of delivering catchy, yet hard-hitting rock anthems. The album’s mix of melodic hooks and powerful vocals created a distinctive sound that resonated with fans of both arena rock and melodic metal.
However, after the initial success of ‘Double Eclipse‘, the band faced line-up changes and periods of inactivity. Despite this, Johnny Gioeli remained at the forefront of Hardline, and the band continued to release albums, including ‘II‘ (2002), ‘Leaving the End Open‘ (2009), ‘Danger Zone‘ (2012), ‘Life‘ (2016) and ‘Heart Mind and Soul‘ (2021). These albums showed the band’s evolution while retaining their signature style of melodic, hard-hitting rock, and Gioeli’s unmistakable voice.
This November, RMR Live are delighted to present Hardline on their first UK headline tour since 2017!
