Krissy Matthews Releases New Live Album ‘Live At Freak Valley’

live-at-freak-valley

Krissy Matthews Band are set to embark on a UK tour in March and April to celebrate the release of their first live album ‘Live At Freak Valley‘. Released by Proper Records on Friday 14th April, the live album was recorded at the Freak Valley Festival in Siegen, Germany on May 27, 2016. It really catches the adrenalin and pure excitement of the band in all their glory.

Too many bands release “live records” but half of it is over dubbed in the studio and the f*** ups are erased,” says Matthews. “On Freak Valley you get the real deal. No overdubs.

Originally from Oxford, Krissy’s band has often been described as an exciting, high octane, power rock trio steeped in blues roots. 24 year old Matthews has performed at some of Europe’s most iconic music venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Loreley, Tanzbrunnen and Festa Avante. He’s also opened for many high profile recording artists at the top of their game including Joe Bonamassa, Toto, Gregg Allman and Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Jeff Angell’s Staticland Commence UK Tour With Candlebox

staticland

Jeff Angell’s Staticland is thrilled to be returning to Europe for some dates this January with legendary Seattle Candlebox, including London’s Underworld on January 27th.

The Walking Papers singer Jeff Angell’s Staticland self-titled debut album released on UDR, is a captivating menagerie of songs that effortlessly shift from raucous, snarling, barn burners to moving Stones-inspired ballads that you will want to play on repeat. Produced By Grammy award winner Vance Powell (Jack White, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, Seasick Steve), the sound is that of a provocative, imaginative blues rock which breaths new life into the genre.

I believed that we have succeeded in defining a sound that is undeniably our own. Fusing blues and post punk influences with time and attention invested in the lyrics and arrangements.” exclaims Angell and while calling Cabdlebox “an outstanding rock n roll band”  he promises Staticland’s shows will be “full of swaggering songs that swing and shuffle savagely” and will enthral audiences.

Dan Reed Network Celebrates Champion Video And UK tour

Fight Another Day

To coincide with their UK & European tour, Dan Reed Network talk about the concept behind music video for their sublime and exhilarating new single, ‘Champion’.

Champion deals with the concept that we are what we eat, not just our physical health but our soul’s well-being,” says Dan Reed. “It’s about surrounding ourselves with people that feed our dreams, support and push us to be more creative, more alive, and to enjoy the ride.

The video portrays the intensity in the eyes of people from every walk of life. Having the band performing in front of the rear projected screens was to immerse those of us who wrote and will be performing this song live to visually state we all live in this bubble of light where every person we meet brings new insights, lessons, strength, and if we’re lucky, wisdom.

Aynsley Lister Back On Tour In The UK

Aynsley Lister - Eyes Wide Open

Award-winning blues-rock guitarist Aynsley Lister is back on tour in the UK again after playing 20 shows in Europe. Aynsley kicks off the second part of his UK Tour on Thursday 1st December 2016 at the Putney Half Moon.

Aynsley Lister’s 41-date UK and European tour dovetails the release of his eighth studio album ‘Eyes Wide Open’.

When Joe Bonamassasa was interviewed by the Nottingham Post whilst on tour in the UK in October 2015, the newspaper asked the blues guitarist who his favourite British blues guitarists were. “There is a great little crop of blues musicians out there over in the UK right now,” answered Bonamassa. “There is an Irish kid called Simon McBride who is very good, Joanne Shaw Taylor is a superstar in waiting, and I think and Aynsley Lister is also very good.”
