When narrow-mindedness and blame become second nature. When you pin your troubles on the world and expect others to set things right. When you can’t make it through the day without leaning on someone else. This state of helplessness and passivity is at the heart of Peterified’s debut single and video, ‘Helpless‘, a high-voltage burst of energy, laced with influences from Europe and Queen.

‘Helpless‘ is taken from the upcoming debut album ‘Trial By Fire‘, due for release this Autumn.
Peterified is the creative vision of singer-songwriter Peter Johansson (formerly of Magasin 99 and Amber Lynxx). Teaming up with childhood friends Mikael Johansson (ex-Magasin 99, Free Alloy) and Mattias Ingvarson (ex-Poker), he has brought to life ‘Trial By Fire‘, a dynamic fusion of heartfelt songwriting and the power of Arena Rock. The lineup is completed by bassist Johan Wallerstedt (Fornfela, among others) and drummer Anton Roos (ex-Seventh Crystal, ex-Saffire), delivering a sound as passionate as it is powerful.
The album is produced and mixed by Victor Olsson (Saffire, Gathering Of Kings), and mastered by none other than Grammy-winning, multi-platinum engineer Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Nestor, The Night Flight Orchestra, Gathering Of Kings, Perfect Plan, The Gems, Soilwork, Evergrey, and more).
While Håkan Hellström paints romantic portraits of Gothenburg, Peterified shines a light on Mölndal, the picturesque former mill town just south of the city. From the neighborhoods of Kikås and Kvarnbyn to the roaring waterfalls at Götafors, the stately Gunnebo Castle, and lakeside party havens like Horsikan and Södra Långevattnet, these places form the vivid emotional backdrop to Trial By Fire, a coming-of-age soundtrack driven by big guitars and even bigger choruses.

Line-up:
Peter Johansson – vocals
Mikael Johansson – guitar
Mattias Ingvarson – keyboards
