Review: Troy Redfern, Support Red Giant

Red Giant hadn’t appeared on my radar before , so as they opened up Thursday night at  Yardbirds I was interested to learn what they could bring to the stage.

Without doubt the performance was enjoyable and had some solid bass lines that held a groove throughout an expressive and very mobile lead guitar performance.

A cover of ‘Green Manalishi’ was the set opener with ‘All Along the Watchtower’ closing an enjoyable set.

Troy Redfern took the stage at 20:45 and maintained a very strong and energetic stage presence and a charismatic interaction with Nicky Waters on percussion who gave a stand up performance.

Between them they captivated the audience both musically and visually.

After the show, time was generously given to chat with fans .
