The Picturebooks Share New Single And Video ‘Primate Dancer’

Motorcycle mending, chopper and skateboard-riding, blues-rocking duo The Picturebooks have released their new single and music video ‘Primate Dancer‘, taken from their latest full-length album ‘Albuquerque‘. The band are also due to hit the UK for a headline tour in a few short weeks, kicking off next month.

The video for the track is a crazy stop motion video done in collaboration with one of their many skateboard buddies, Glen Biltz. Glen has been doing shorts in this style for a while and, when asked if he wants to collaborate with the band, he was all in. He sent a ton of material over for them to use, and they edited the video themselves.

Including members of the skating community in their output is important to The Picturebooks members Fynn Claus Grabke and Philipp Mirtschink have both been skating since their childhood and actually met at the skatepark, the place where they decided to form a band. Fynn‘s father, Claus Grabke, was also recently inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame as the first European ever in 2024. It’s quite literally in their genes.

The Picturebooks are days away from hitting the road for a 35-date headline tour of Europe and the UK, kicking off on February 18th. Fans can expect a special mix of old classics, new songs from their latest album ‘Albuquerque‘ and even some unreleased tracks that have never been played live before. San Diego native Low Volts will be joining them for the UK leg of the tour, bringing his incredible one-man show to the stage. Full list of tour dates below:
