2025 is Fugitive‘s 35th anniversary (!!) and in all that time the band have never got political.
The band says: “But enough is enough right? Politicians are making promises and then burning manifestos across the globe just as soon as they are voted in – seeming to care more for themselves and filling their own family’s pockets than representing the people they are meant to serve. There’s a very simple message embedded in the track for which we make no apologies… and we invite you all to sing along. This is no call to arms, no dig at any particular party (well – maybe all of them!) – just some light hearted fun with a serious message!”
Frontman Michael Angel says “We’ve had so much fun creating this track – it really is a release of frustrations whenever we include this in the set and it’s gone down so well with audiences live – it was the obvious choice for a single ‐ they get on to it within seconds and join the chant in the chorus – we’re obviously not alone in how we feel!”
The track was recorded at AMP Studios in Wrexham working with the band’s long time friend, producer and unofficial 5th member of the band, Nino Errico to create the track, then handed over to World renowned music producer Christian Ballard (son of Russ) for the Mastering – giving it a new set of ears and a real warmth and clarity to the recording.
