The Heavy Souls, the heavy blues rock powerhouse from the steel city of Sheffield, England are delighted to announce the release of their new single, ‘Sleepwalking’, the second song to be released from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Have You Got Soul’, slated for release on Fri 31 January 2025.

Guitarist, Ben Boswell, spoke of the writing journey of the song, “It came about towards the end of Covid when me and Clarke just had each other as our social bubble, we wanted a song that was a bit tribal in terms of simple but catchy, and memorable, hence the hook of the song.
We put on the back burner for a while until we changed names (from Stand Amongst Giants to The Heavy Souls) then we brought it back and re-worked it to better fit how we are now and that’s what grew into the current version of ‘Sleepwalking‘.”
Lead singer, Clarke Vaughan spoke about ‘Sleepwalking‘, “The song is about battling your demons whatever that may look like, thinking you have laid them to rest but endlessly living with them. Wanting to be woken from what feels like a constant nightmare, needing something or someone to believe in to overcome them.”
With a sound as raw and unapologetic as the industrial roots of their hometown, The Heavy Souls channel the gritty spirit of blues and the thunderous energy of rock into a sonically enthralling experience.
