The Outlaw Orchestra have released their third single and video titled ‘Born To Be A Thief‘ from the forthcoming album ‘La Familia‘ (Due mid 2024). Back to bare roots in a head on collision with hard rock. This track is full bodied ambience and atmospheric indulgence, harmonies backed by banjo conjuring a Fleetwood Mac feel and allowing space for each instrument to stand alone as the drums build the track towards its rocking blues solo finale.
Singer guitarist Dave Roux says: “We wanted to capture what it is we do in a studio or sitting around busking ideas onto the finished album, its three instruments and our voices and not layering lots of overdubs, its us as we are live and a great sound for just tres hombre” In regards to the back story of the song Dave went on to say “We’re Outlaws and we wouldn’t be Outlaws if we weren’t thieves as well, I started young pinching sweets from Woolworths Pick’n’Mix and progressed to guitar picks from Music shops, pints of beer at gigs to rolls of gaffer tape from Roadies. However when chatting with the Planet Rock stage crew I was assured no matter how light fingered us musicians might be, we’ll never out thieve the Road Crew, they’re the best in the business“.
‘Born To be A Thief‘ will be on the forthcoming eleven track album ‘La Familia‘ which is due out mid 2024.
