New British, Midland’s rock band Waking The Angels are pleased to announce their fourth single ‘Moment In Time’ from their debut album ‘We Are!’. The artwork was designed in partnership with Jordan Evans from the mighty Florence Black. Jordan has been commissioned to produce most of the band’s singles artwork from the album; so, watch this space.
Say the band: “This song is about making time for the things that mean something to you in this life and not being constantly drawn to the meaningless multitude of day to day distractions. We hope you find the lyrics thought provoking.”
The single will be released on October 27th, 2023 followed by one more single which will land on the same day as the album in December, 2023.
The band will hold an album release party at The Station on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
To celebrate the release of the single, Waking The Angels will release a limited edition T shirt showcasing the single cover.
The band will be simultaneously releasing an accompanying video via their YouTube channel. The video was created by Zak Muller.
Waking The Angels released their debut EP in December 2021. The four track EP featured their first 2 singles, ‘You Know My Name‘, a cover of the iconic song by Chris Cornell, from the film, Casino Royale and their debut original track, the title track, ‘Stand back From The Redline‘. Two other original tracks are featured.
The band also released their first single from the album, ‘Can You See Me Now?’ in May 2023.
The band have now finished recording their debut album and are looking to release later in 2023. The album was recorded at M2 (Madhat) Studios using the same team responsible for Magnum’s recordings.
The band has so far released 4 videos (lyric and staged) to support their launch and these can be found on their YouTube channel. The band has so far performed, ‘Rockers Through The Ages’, Xmas party in 2022 at the Giffard Arms, a launch party at ‘The Station’ in Cannock, in January 2022, to a packed crowd and have a growing list of supports and Festivals with Bad Touch, Collateral, Electric Boys and Chez Kane, Mayors Rockfest, Sharkfest, Support to Gin Annie @ KKs Steel Mill & Hard Rock Hell AOR Festival (Mainstage) @ O2 Leicester, June, 2023, Epilepsy Awareness Festival (Headliner) ,The Giffard Arms, Wolverhampton, Sept 2023, Support to Vega ,The Station, Cannock, Sept 2023, Double Headliner with The Hot One Two ,Trillians, October, 2023 & Double Headliner with The Hot One Two, Bannerman’s, October, 2023.
2023 shaped up well as a breakout year for this Midlands outfit so stay tuned for more 2024 live dates. Already announced at HRH AOR (March), Rock For Spon (May) & Call Of The Wild Festival (May).
