Bio:

Mistyfica was born from the idea of two musicians: Max Molodtsov (the mastermind behind Ukrainian and international metal bands such as Edenian, Sorrowful Land, Blessdivine, Resolution) and Valerie Chudentsova (vocalist of Edenian, The Mystic Euphoria Project, former member of Nulla Rosa).

The idea of creating a symphonic metal band, a musical genre that was close yet different from what both members had played before, emerged in 2014. The initial musical drafts that would later become Mistyfica‘s songs can be traced back to 2010 when Max Molodtsov started collecting riffs and melodies that didn’t fit with Edenian (his main gothic-doom band at the time) and were more energetic, complex, and frantic.

Until 2020, the band had composed 12 songs, from which a small selection of 10 was made for their debut album, ‘Century Tales‘. The compositions range from fast-paced epic songs to sweet and captivating ballad-style melodies. Some songs feature classical vocal formulas reminiscent of “beauty and the beast” style. Three of the songs create a conceptual trilogy, telling an exciting story with an atmosphere reminiscent of Game of Thrones.

In 2020, Mistyfica released their first official promotional lyric video for the song ‘Scarlet Reign‘.

From 2020 to 2023, Mistyfica occasionally stayed in the studio, recording their material for the very first album. Despite all the difficulties one can imagine, they managed to complete the recording process entirely by spring 2023. After several months of mixing and mastering, ‘Century Tales‘ was completed and ready to burst forth and captivate listeners with Ukrainian class metal!

All these elements are fused together in a modern-sounding metal mix that we hope you will enjoy.
