Review Dirty Honey/ Rival Sons
Nottingham Rock City (July 5th, 2022)

I’ve been eagerly waiting to see Dirty Honey ever since first hearing them, and I was certainly not alone with a capacity crowd at Rock City for this support act! What Dirty Honey delivered was everything myself and the fans wanted. This was without doubt a headliner worthy performance and there’s no doubt that when the band return to the UK (hopefully very soon) they will no longer be a support act!
And so onto the headliners Rival Sons, a band I’ve only seen once before at Ramblin’ Man and whose albums I do enjoy. Initial impression was not disappointment but hope that the band would ‘up a gear’. Thankfully after several songs the band did indeed ignite, much to the crowds delight, delivering a solid display of musicianship. After Dirty Honey‘s opening set I would say any band would of needed to up their game, and Rival Sons eventually rose to the occasion, entertaining a hot and packed Rock City.
