‘Thunder Road’ – NitroVille‘s new hard rocking single and video out on 25 March 2022 sums it up; a dystopic road journey through a dry-as- a-bone wasteland, along abandoned nuclear plants and oil refineries.
Together with a set of lyrics inviting resilience and retribution. This tune has the trademark driving energy of NitroVille, no doom and gloom but a victorious vibe of iron and thunder. This number has been a constant in their all out and high-octane live set and it was time to get it recorded and honoured with a matching grit and dust video
Touring for Nitroville has included a show at Stonefree Festival, 02 London, along with headliners – The Scorpions and Megadeth and Monsterfest, Inverness, including headliners The Dead Daisies. Then two main tours to label mate Marco Mendoza (The Dead Daisies/Whitesnake/Thin Lizzy).
NitroVille was founded by vocalist, Tola Lamont and guitarist, Kurt Michael. In 2016, NitroVille released their album ‘Cheating The Hangman’ with Scandinavia’s biggest rock & metal label, Mighty Music/SPV. NitroVille quickly drew the attention of the international press which commented on the band’s rock solid musicianship and song writing, powerful vocals of front woman Tola Lamont and lead guitarist, Kurt Michael’s heavy grooving guitar riffing.
NitroVille’s American sound and production evokes road movie images of the darker kind. The songs are relentless and raw, at times menacing and paranoid, as much as poetic, big and spacious, delivered with a wall of classic Marshall amp sound.
‘Cheating The Hangman’, garnered positive coverage in Rock music’s biggest international publications from UK’s own Classic Rock and Fireworks, to Germany’s Metal Hammer and Rock It, Finland’s Inferno and Denmark’s
Metalized. A prominent reviewer from Canada’s leading rock magazine, Sleaze Roxx, considered NitroVille ‘Cheating the Hangman‘ as his favourite album of the year – 2016.
NitroVille have toured throughout the UK and Europe extensively including festivals such as Motorcycle Jamboree, Berlin, where they supported U.D.O (ACCEPT lead vocalist – Udo Dirschneider). The band also played sets in Nashville and West Texas, the latter of which has always been a location for inspiration to many of NitroVille’s songs. NitroVille have built a strong reputation for their high voltage live shows and for being a reliable and steady act in the industry.
NitroVille have toured throughout the UK and Europe extensively and will soon release a number of singles/videos followed by their third studio album, ‘Ten Chapters‘.
