Edinburgh hoodoo masters Black Cat Bone are excited to announce their next single will be released on 4th April. Fusing a soulful blend of blues with an edgy desert rock groove, the new track ‘Coming For You‘ is going to delight existing fans as well as being a great introduction for those flirting with real raucous rock!
With work on their second album underway, the release of ‘Coming For You‘ is the first new studio work from Black Cat Bone since their 2017 ‘Get Your Kicks Sessions‘ EP release. Having spent 2018 playing at virtually every major venue and festival in Scotland, this new chapter for the band will see them hitting the rest of the UK, bringing their hard-edged swagger wherever they go!
Speaking about the new track. ‘Coming For You‘, the band explain a little about the song’s meaning:
“The idea was that no matter how confident or how successful a person may be, the one thing they cannot control is their own self-doubt and inhibitions. I wanted to dive deep within these feelings and what it feels to be that way.”
‘Coming For You‘ was recorded, mixed and mastered at CHEM19 studios by Jamie Savage (Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand, Calvin Harris). With the accompanying video being filmed by Gareth Goodlad at On Red Film Productions.

Since the day that lucky charm was tossed aside by the ghost of Maggie McGill, swallowed by a whisky bottle drowning in salt water and then coughed up on the Leith shoreline, it has been rooted in those muddy waters like a timeless groove, coiled, omnipotent, waiting …
Discovered down by the water, reflecting on the endless bridge, the hoodoo blues legacy was mutated and perpetuated. Louisiana hot sauce with salivating mouth harp blues, deep drilling bass and drums that hit the vein of your soul and hot, hot guitars weaving incongruous licks like poison ivy round the tree of convention. They will make you thirsty like lizard skin and shake like a rattlesnake’s tail.
If you need to satisfy your hunger for good taste and you want the best, then drink deep from this well, my friends. A path will light up before your eyes and will have Black Cat Bone coming for you. Get down with the dirty sleazy grooves of Edinburgh based Black Cat Bone. For 4 years BCB have been pedalling their own brand of deafening fuzzy hoodoo and are here to convert all you non-believers.
