Following their recent appearance at this year’s Ramblin’ Man Fair alongside Steel Panther, Therapy and Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy, London based rock outfit The Dust Coda now stand poised to release their roaring new single ‘Let Me Go‘ on Monday 16th July.
Packing a heavy-set, edgy riff-riot into a dizzying three-minute blast,’Let Me Go‘ sees the raw and soulful quartet’s much-loved sound return with full force, accompanied by an explosively volatile music video that perfectly captures the essence of the track’s lyrical fire.
As the band explains:
“This song is about a doomed relationship with a beautiful siren. We collided like comets and total chaos ensued, with a whole host of sidewalk screaming matches and early morning telephone calls. She got her claws in deep, and when she pulled them out she left many splinters. From time to time she would reappear to pick at the scabs…she never stopped disappearing then turning up out of the blue to give me grief.
Despite knowing that the relationship is toxic, there’s something magical about the chaotic chemistry you have with that person…it’s almost cinematic. Ultimately, it does you no good and you end up losing yourself. I’ve always been a sucker for a smart and complicated woman.
Let Me Go was an old idea that had been hanging around for years, but it’s been such fun to play that we wanted to bring it to the table for our upcoming run offestivals. We look forward to seeing you rock out to it!”
Since their formation in 2015, The Dust Coda have risen quickly up the ranks of the UK rock scene. Having shared stages with the likes of British Lion, Dead Daisies and Black Stone Cherry, their eponymous debut LP (released October 2017) saw huge success, garnering a nomination from Planet Rock Radio for “Best New Act 2017” and a spot in Classic Rock Magazines “Top 50 Tracks Of 2017”.
‘Let Me Go‘ will be available to stream and purchase from Monday 16th July, but The Dust Coda will be performing live across the UK over the course of the summer and early autumn, with their new single set to blow the speakers off this year’s festival stages! As for their plans for the rest of 2018, the band remain firmly tight-lipped…
