Gun Barrel recently announced that they’ve parted ways with their now ex-vocalist Patrick Sühl due to his busy schedule as a full-time professional musician.
“First things first: There are no personal or musical differences! I still love the music and the guys. Unfortunately, I’m not able to fully concentrate on Gun Barrel due to my busy schedule.
I look back on five fantastic years, two great albums, my first worldwide release, my first tour and much more.
I am also happy and grateful for many friendships I would not have formed without Gun Barrel.
Mark my words, everyone: We are and we will stay friends! I’m looking forward to my first Gun Barrel gig as part of the audience, with a beer in hand. There is only one thing left to say: Thanks a lot!”
The band added:
“We totally agree and are so glad that we’ve found a friend in Patrick, and look back on great times. We wish him all the best for his musical and personal future, and look forward to being a part of it. Patrick, you will alway be one of us, no matter where you sing! We had great times and a fantastic cooperation with Patrick and now we are looking forward to a new and exciting Gun Barrel era.”
Patrick’s successor will be Thomas “Thomale” Nathan.
He is no newcomer, and was baptised by fire at Gun Barrel‘s gig in the Czech Republic in early August, where he reportedly rocked like hell.
