Review: Fierce Heart – Fierce Heart
AOR Blvd Records (2015)
Reviewer: Dan Mann
Okay I’ll kick this review off by saying that Fierce Heart were a band that passed me by. Having given the album several listens, I wish I’d heard them 30+ years ago when this album was originally released.
This particular release is a remastered one from those good folks over at AOR Blvd Records and you get three bonus demo tracks into the bargain.
From the first few bars of ‘Echoes‘ you realise that this is very much an album for fans of early Dokken etc, so that’ll count me in then. Yes some people will bemoan it’s ‘dated ‘sound but for me it brings back memories of those heady days of the 80’s.
From the Icon sounding title track ‘Fierce Heart‘ to the early Y & T sounding ‘Search & Destroy‘, this is an album that has ended up having multiple plays and certainly an album thoroughly deserving of this this re-release.
