Today symphonic metal outfit BEYOND THE BLACK presents their new single, ‘Golden Pariahs‘, off their upcoming album, ‘Hørizøns‘, to be released via Napalm Records on June 19th , 2020.

An echoing symbiosis of brutal drums and major electronic influences inflames the quintessence of ‘Golden Pariahs‘: Their new epos explodes in an intoxicating fusion of Jennifer Haben‘s striking, exceptional vocals, highly-clocked drums and another facet of the quintet’s multifarious spectra.
BEYOND THE BLACK rises with sonorous, energetic severity and bittersweet elements. The vigorous soundscape is coupled with the song’s strong message and sets the characteristic sign to fight, even in dark times. BEYOND THE BLACK prove their versatile musical identity once again and that the modern blend of melodic rock and metal is flowing through their veins.

Golden Pariahs‘ is a high voltage stunner and a melodic hymn for all the erroneously underdogs to defeat their inner demons. Pull us under, hear the thunder!

Jennifer Haben on the new album:
With 2019 having been the biggest year in our career as a band so far, we were thrilled and anxious to get back to the studio and start writing again – not just to make up to the fast and amazing development that has happened in the band since our last album, but to pin this development down also musically for everyone to hear and see. ‘Hørizøns‘ is unmistakably a BEYOND THE BLACK album, but with so many new facets and personality adding up to the classic BEYOND THE BLACK ID that make it a true band-album. For us this has definitely been a walk on the tightrope and we feel to have it accomplished to its fullest. Without beating around the bush, we can say that we’re extremely proud and confident that Hørizøns is the best BEYOND THE BLACK album to date.

Pre-Order ‘HørizønsHERE:

The female fronted quintet unbolts their unequalled, differentiated spectra of symphonic and melodic rock spiced with sonorous melodious metal soundscapes in 13 manifold songs. The album kicks off with its heavy, yet atmospheric title track, spanning the range of intumescent soundscapes and Jennifer Haben‘s crystal clear, striking vocals. Beautiful yet strong harmonies, emotional storytelling and powerful vocal lines weave throughout ‘Wounded Healer‘ (feat. Elize Rhyde off Amaranthe) and will light your way in gloomy times. Dark subliminal grooves coalesce with harmonizing guitar lines and form the prevailing nexus of ‘Human‘ and it’s unmistakably catchy chorus. Another facet rises with ‘You Are Not Alone‘, which is dominated by electronic influences as well as symphonic sounding violins. ‘Hørizøns‘ atmospherically dark harshness creates the stylistic bow over the distinctive melodic rock meets pop sound in symbiosis with fragile yet strong fragments. The charismatic outfit persuades with a rousing, emotional clout and their strong, confident message off self-assertion.

The harsh wave of the electrifying synergy of industrial metal and gothic dimness hits stronger than ever before: German pioneers of European gothic metal, CREMATORY, release their third single, ‘Rise And Fall‘ off the upcoming album, ‘Unbroken‘, to be released via Napalm Records on March 6, 2020.

Rise and Fall‘, as well as the expressive music video, showcases both melodic and mercilessly heavy side of CREMATORY‘s musical identity. They are spinning a web between their boundary-breaking origins and the newer, matured and more experienced approach the band developed while reflecting on own presence in the scene for the last 29 years. The single was created with OneSaidZero (Co-Production), who was also responsible for the remix of ‘Unbroken‘.

While profiting from the signature sound trademarks – such as Felix Stass‘ raspy vocals or the guitar-based brutality harmonized with melodic keyboard-samples – ‘Rise and Fall‘ strikes with its undeniable power and musical strength, like a phoenix of fire and ashes, uniting the industrial and gothic influences of this German sextet.

In this way, this melodic, heavy and empowering anthem of hope and rebirth connects all of the major goals CREMATORY set for their upcoming release: on the one hand underlining the significance of strength and determination, while, on the other, remaining faithful to the darker and existentially roots of the scene the band was born in in the 90s. Like the dichotomies between hope and despair, so does the vocal duet in ‘Rise and Fall‘ emotionally highlight the continuous, yet equally engaging battle of life forces, as well as the human struggle to find the way back into the light.

Accompanied by the equally impressive video, with ‘Rise and Fall‘, CREMATORY pursue their conquest towards the dark Parnassus of gothic metal finesse, their spirit unbroken ready to face the challenges of life.

CREMATORY about ‘Rise and Fall‘:
Rise and Fall‘ symbolizes the “Tear of Time” of the new age! With this song we have managed an absolute banger! I am sure that this track will be the new CREMATORY anthem!

Welcome to the panopticon of darkness: German gothic pioneers CREMATORY continue to perform the tightrope act in the somber void with their brand new first single, ‘The Downfall‘, along with an artful black and white lyric video.

The first single introduces not just a new chapter, but prepares fans for their upcoming fifteenth album, ‘Unbroken‘, to be released on March 6th via Napalm Records.

The Downfall‘ offers the powerful reincarnation of the sinister CREMATORY universe: Opening bell-bright, devilish sounds in addition to Felix Stass’ rough and scratchy vocals underline the night-black narrative. Dark yet melodic guitar lines mixed with staccato rhythms make this song a true eye-opener and emphasize that the band is right back in the middle of the musical black ceremony. Welcome insanity that CREMATORY has written!

With ‘Unbroken‘ the German pioneers of gothic metal present 15 energetic tracks boasting brutal riffs, deep growls and tight drum grooves – proving their diversity even after almost 30 years in the business. In addition to the concise influences of Neue Deutsche Härte, Unbroken appears as a bravura-piece in an industrial guise.

CREMATORY states:
Yes, we’re back with gothic rock’n’roll at its finest: A tough mixture of gothic and metal in a classifying CREMATORY kind of style. Those who liked our old hit “The Fallen” will love our new single “The Downfall”. Just the right song as an appetizer for our new album and the following tour in April.

2019 marks the 10th anniversary of Ukrainian stoner rock masters, Stoned Jesus . Tracks such as ‘I’m The Mountain‘, with millions of hits on YouTube, are ultimate fuzz rock anthems. While Stoned Jesus started as a one-man project back in 2009, formed by frontman and band mastermind Igor Sydorenko, it would later become one of the most distinctive heavy stoner and doom rock bands the current scene has to offer. To celebrate 10 great years of Stoned Jesus ‘, the band has a very special surprise and gift for their fans, as they release the first two demos in a compilation,  ‘From The Outer Space‘  – available on November 8 th via Napalm Records and for the first time as a limited vinyl edition!

We’ve been around for a whole decade now, so I figured it would be really great to give something really cool to all our fans”  – comments Igor, Stoned Jesus vocalist and guitarist. ‘But ‘From the Outer Space‘ is not a sign of things to come obviously, more like a snapshot of a memory. This is a page of our history for you to own“.

Remastered from the original demo recordings by Igor, these five long tracks retain the uncompromising rawness of material while adding some new, previously unheard nuances to the overall mix. Celebrate with Stoned Jesus in style, and watch this cool behind-the-scenes music video for the track  ‘The Sweet Whore of Babylon‘.

Being the first Stoned Jesus track ever written, ‘The Sweet Whore of Babylon‘ is hardly a masterpiece.“  Igor says.  “Yet its relentless nature and raw sound perfectly show the beginnings of one-man-project-then/full-band-later. The video, carefully compiled and edited by me and Nastya Homenko from hours of archival footage, shows you the first ten years of Stoned Jesus in (almost) chronological order. Here’s to many more years to come!

Track listing:

1. The Sweet Whore of Babylon
2. Insatiable King
3. Eastern Magic
4. Occult

UNLEASH THE ARCHERS return with their new EP ‘Explorers‘, to be released on 11th October 2019 via Napalm Records, only two years after having released their smashing album ‘Apex‘. The EP will feature two cover songs. The first single to be released on 30th August 2019 is called ‘Northwest Passage‘, originally written and performed by Stan Rogers.

UNLEASH THE ARCHERS on ‘Explorers‘: “The first single from ‘Explorers’ is a cover of a very well known Canadian folk song called ‘Northwest Passage‘, written by a much-loved folk singer out of eastern Canada by the name of Stan Rogers. This song means a lot to us as a band, we like to put it on during those long drives on tour and it always brings us right back home. We originally recorded it to be a bonus track for our last full length album Apex, but we loved the track so much we knew it needed special treatment.  We held on to it for a bit and eventually decided to release it as its own 7″ vinyl EP with another Canadian cover song as the B side. The song ‘Northwest Passage‘ is all about touring through Canada, which Stan Rogers did a lot, and how it equates to being an explorer looking for the passage all those years ago. It really hits home with us, we’ve toured through Canada too many times to count, so we know just how Stan was feeling. That’s where the name of the EP came from too; every time we hit the road on tour it’s like we too become ‘Explorers‘, with the great big unknown stretching out before us.

The second single is a cover of a song by a Canadian hair metal band from the 80’s called Teaze. They are not super well known, but that’s why we gravitated towards them. The song ‘Heartless World‘ has a really interesting arrangement and can’t seem to decide if it’s a ballad or a rock opera. Unlike ‘Northwest Passage‘, where we played around with it quite a bit, we left “Heartless World” almost completely as is, and only changed a few small things like solos and vocal melodies. We thought it would be a great companion piece to “Northwest Passage” and really round out the moody ‘Explorers‘ vibe.

The artwork on ‘Explorers‘ is by Dusty Peterson and we feel it captures the essence of seeking the “Northwest Passage” perfectly. If you have ever read ‘The Terror’ by Dan Simmons or watched the show you’ll know exactly what we were going for. This EP has darkness written all over it, but the songs themselves have a slightly uplifting undertone as well. One can only imagine how exciting it must have been to explore this unknown continent back in the day, but also, how terrifying.

Tracklist:
1. Northwest Passage
2. Heartless World

Line up:

Brittney Slayes – clean vocals

Scott Buchanan – drums

Grant Truesdell – guitar, unclean vocals

Andrew Kingsley – guitar, unclean vocals

Ragga Metallers Skindred release a new lyric video for fan-favourite track ‘Loud and Clear’, taken from their UK Top 40 hit album ‘Big Tings’ on Napalm Records. The release comes ahead of the band’s upcoming tour, supporting US Rock legends Disturbed, and heralds exciting times for Skindred.

We are currently gearing up for a very heavy year of extensive touring and are also hoping to work on writing new material in the gaps,” says Skindred drummer Arya Goggin, “The track ‘Loud and Clear’ from ‘Big Tings’ was a very popular choice with our fans, so we have decided to put it out to coincide with our tour with Disturbed.

We hit the road with Disturbed in April, with shows throughout Europe and the UK, then we are literally straight into festival season; finally to round off the year we are taking the ‘That’s My Jam’ Tour to Europe (with Blood Command as our special guest), which finishes in late December. So, in short, it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a year!

Loud and Clear’ gets a gritty yet dreamy, uber-colourful urban-themed video, with neon-style lyrics on top of mesmeric clips of a spraycan-wielding graffiti painter . This is mixed with the usual energetic live footage of Skindred doing what they do best, killing it live with Newport Helicopters, energy, style and appeal.

Skindred’s tour as Disturbed’s special guest runs from 18th April to 15th May and covers the nations of Europe, reaching UK shores on  11th May, playing dates at London, Glasgow and Manchester. Many dates are already sold out.

Skindred’s headline ‘That’s My Jam’ European tour (with special guests Blood Command) likewise covers many nations on the continent and runs from 29th November to 19th December. Full details on Skindred’s website. To buy tickets go to Here
