Review: Nestor – Live At Gothenburg Film Studios Napalm Records – August 14th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper If I could point to one band as the best new band of this decade, it is without a doubt Nestor. They released an all-time classic with their debut ‘Kids In A Ghost Town‘ (review here) and the […]
Review: ILSY – ILSY Lion’s Pride Music – July 31st, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper The band ILSY was born from the ashes of the band Sheela, a band who re-released their debut album ‘Burned Down‘ two years ago on Lions Pride Music (review here). After finalizing the re-release, lead singer and main songwriter Wolfgang Terne […]
Review: Rockett Love – Wired For Sound Pride & Joy Music – June 26th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper Rockett Love’s 2023 album ‘Galactic Circus’ (review here) left me convinced that the band had a stronger record in them. With ‘Wired For Sound‘, due June 26th on Pride & Joy Music, they have taken a […]
Review: Shinedown – EI8HT Atlantic Records – May 29th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper Shinedown return to the scene with ‘EI8HT‘, an eighteen-track release that, based on the singles thus far, sounded very promising. Single releases these days are bizarre to my old school sensibilities. ‘Dance Kid Dance’ and ‘Three Six Five’ were released sixteen […]
Review: 11 Theory – All In Our Minds WLA Productions – June 19th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper 11 Theory are set to release their debut album ‘All In Our Minds‘. That’s all I know about the band (I’ll get to that later). Listening to the album, their sound is blues based hard rock performed with […]
Review: Erik Grönwall – Bad Bones Greenwall Entertainment – May 22nd, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper Erik Grönwall is one of my favorite new singers of the last 20 years. His work with H.E.A.T. took a great band and made them legendary. After being recruited by Skid Row, he went on to make their third […]
Review: Hardline – Shout Steamammer – April 17th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper Hardline has a cherished history for me. Their debut came out in my Senior year of high school and brings back lots of fond memories. That album is considered by many to be one of the last great hard rock albums to […]
Review: Kissing Kaos – To Your Limit Mighty Music – May 1st, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper Based in the USA, Kissing Kaos was formed from the ashes of Asphalt Valentine. Singer Joe Flynt and drummer Brian Jung united with guitarist Jon Lansburg and current Kickin Valentina bassist Chris Taylor to create a sound that is power […]
Review: Thundermother – Live’n’Alive Napalm Records – April 17th, 2026 Reviewer – Jason Hopper I’ve been a fan of Thundermother since the release of 2022’s ‘Black and Gold‘ (review here), a fantastic album that I believed had the potential to break the band in the States. Instead, most of the band split and sole remaining member, […]
Review: Tyketto – Closer To The Sun Silver Lining Music (March 20th, 2026) Reviewer – Jason Hopper Tyketto released their debut album at a special time in my life. A junior in high school, I had just gotten into the music scene with exciting new bands coming to fruition. Like everyone else, I was hooked […]
