Danny Bryant has announced two exclusive UK Big Band album release shows. Danny will be performing with a nine-piece big band. The band has been specially assembled and will feature keys, and a four-piece brass section. The ensemble will begin touring select venues in Europe in January 2017 (see below) culminating with the release of a live album recorded at these shows in April 2017. Danny will be performing re tooled and re-arranged songs from his back catalogue alongside many of his all-time favourite Blues classics.

Danny Bryant is pleased to announce the release of his highly anticipated new studio album ‘Blood Money‘, released by Jazzhaus Records on Friday 29 January 2016. His third album to be produced by Richard Hammerton, following in the footsteps of 2014’s Temperature Rising and 2013’s Hurricane, the new album features Danny collaborating with the iconic guitarists Walter Trout and Bernie Marsden on two tracks.

Says Bryant, “I wanted to make this album ever since I began my musical journey 20 years ago as a 15 year old boy who fell in love with his parent’s record collection. “Working with Bernie Marsden and Walter Trout on this album has been a career highlight for me.” On Blood Money, Bryant set out to record an album that showed a return to his roots and an appreciation of his blues influences, by paying homage, as he puts it “to all the different influences and flavours of this wonderful music that I have loved for many years.”
Particular tracks like ‘On the Rocks’ is a homage to the late great Albert Collins, ‘Holding All The Cards’ is a tribute to Jimmy Reed, while ‘Unchained’ harks back to vintage Albert King Stax recordings. The title track, ‘Blood Money’, was specifically written with Walter Trout in mind, who was Bryant’s guitar mentor when he had a chance meeting with him at a concert when he was only 13 years old. “I wanted to share the song with Walter,” says Bryant. “I am really thrilled that he agreed to play guitar on the track. I think his contribution is truly stunning.”

British blues guitarist and singer-songwriter, Danny Bryant will release his new album “Temperature Rising” in the UK on Monday 1st September. The album, released by Jazzhaus Records, is produced by Richard Hammerton, and is the follow-up to Bryant’s critically acclaimed 2013 album “Hurricane”. The album is followed by a UK tour that starts at The Robin 2, Bilston on Wednesday 3rd September.
To celebrate the release of the “Temperature Rising” album, Bryant is giving fans a free MP3 download of the song “Nothing At All” which is featured on the new album. From Monday 23rd June, fans will be able to download the song from www.dannybryant.com/free-download.
Bryant is a guitar protégé of the American blues guitarist, Walter Trout. In 1994, at the age of fourteen, Bryant first met Trout at one of his concerts in Cambridge. The two have remained close friends for the past twenty years. In May 2014, when Trout underwent a liver transplant in Omaha, Nebraska, he was in no condition to tour his new studio album “The Blues Came Callin”. He asked Bryant to front his band and tour America. Bryant’s manager/wife, Kirby, was responsible for setting up the online fundraising campaign for Trout’s liver transplant, which, to date has generated $240,000 U.S. dollars.
On the U.S. tour, which starts 31st July in Hermosa, California, Bryant will perform songs from Walter’s new album, plus songs from his own “Temperature Rising” album. “Temperature Rising” is edgier, fiercer and rockier than his previous albums, but still has its roots steeped in the blues.
