King King released their fourth studio album ‘Exile & Grace‘ in October 2017 via Manhaton Records, which received rave reviews by fans and the media. The album features the band’s singles ‘(She Don’t) Gimme No Lovin’‘and ‘Long Time Running‘ which have been big hits on Planet Rock radio in the UK. ‘Exile & Grace‘ delivers a bigger punch, with killer songs performed with true passion by a fist tight line-up. The album was recorded at Superfly Studios and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Feeder and Therapy?).

Says King King’s frontman and guitarist, Alan Nimmo, “Exile & Grace‘ definitely has a rockier feel and sound to it. We are following our influences from the Classic Rock genre, Bad Company, Whitesnake and Thunder. We really set out to challenge ourselves with this album. We’ve stepped up the quality of songwriting and pushed ourselves physically in both performance and delivery!

The tour dovetails the release of a brand new single taken from King King’s upcoming fourth studio album, and follow up to 2015’s multi-award winning Reaching For The Light. The new album is scheduled for release in early September 2017.

King King’s first-ever live album ‘King King – Live‘ was recently voted #1 at Blues Rock Review’s “Top 5 Best Live Albums of 2016”.

The live album triumph follows King King’s recent win of five awards at the British Blues Awards including Best Male Vocal (Alan Nimmo), Best Bass Player (Lindsay Coulson), Best Song (Rush Hour), Best Album (Reaching for the Light) and Best Songwriter. October 2016 saw the release of King King’s first live album “King King Live” which hit the No.1 spot in Amazon’s Best Sellers Blues Chart.

Says King King’s frontman, Alan Nimmo, “We’re really excited to perform the new single live. It’s rockier than our previous material, but it still has an inherent King King sound to it. The new single is a nice taster from the upcoming album.

King King - Live

Due to a recent vocal cord condition with lead singer and guitarist Alan Nimmo, the majority of King King’s November 2016 UK tour dates with special guests Broken Witt Rebels, have been re-scheduled to January, February, March and May 2017. The news follows the release of the band’s first ever live album ‘King King Live’ that went to #1 in Amazon’s Best Sellers Blues Rock Chart, and the upcoming release of their radio remix of their new single ‘Waking Up’.

King King will honour four of the original November date that include Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall (Friday 25 November), Chester’s The Live Rooms (Saturday 26 November), Clitheroe’s The Grand Venue (Sunday 27 November), and London’s Islington Assembly Hall (Tuesday 29 November).

Says King King’s frontman, Alan Nimmo, “I’ve seen my ENT specialist. He put a camera down my throat to look at what condition my vocal cords were in. Unfortunately, there’s still a good bit of inflammation and redness. I’ve been working with a vocal coach to build strength and stamina to aid my recovery.”

We will be re-scheduling most of the dates on the UK tour to January, February and March, however, we will commit to the remaining four shows on the November UK tour, beginning at Edinburgh’s The Playhouse (25 November), continuing through to the Live Rooms in Chester (26 November), The Grand Venue in Clitheroe (27 November) and wrapping up in London at Islington Assembly Hall (29 November).
