Michael St. Over’s Debut Single ‘Ride Sweet Angel’ Out July 31st

Michael St. Over, the hard rock alter ego of songwriter, producer, label executive, and MTS Records founder Michael Stover, will release his debut single ‘Ride Sweet Angel‘ on July 31st  via MTS Records.

The single is a powerful, emotionally charged hard rock anthem that tackles difficult but important subjects including child abuse, drug addiction, and ultimately, redemption and hope. Through the story of a young woman trapped in cycles of trauma and addiction, the song shines a light on the devastating consequences of abuse while offering a message that healing and salvation remain possible.

Written, produced, and performed by Michael Stover—who also delivers the song’s lead vocals—’Ride Sweet Angel‘ marks the first official release under his Michael St. Over moniker.

I’ve spent decades writing and producing music for other artists, but this song was one I knew I had to sing myself,” says Stover. “It’s an uncomfortable story because it’s real. Too many people live through abuse, addiction, and hopelessness believing there’s no way out. I wanted ‘Ride Sweet Angel’ to acknowledge that darkness without leaving people there. Redemption is possible, and sometimes the hardest stories are the ones that need to be told the loudest.

An official music video is currently in production and will be released following the single’s launch.

As Michael’s debut release under the Michael St. Over name, ‘Ride Sweet Angel‘ introduces a heavier, guitar-driven sound while remaining rooted in meaningful storytelling and emotional authenticity. Fans of both classic and contemporary hard rock will find a song that is as thought-provoking as it is powerful.
