Conny Bloom (Electric Boys) Presents Bold & Unexpected Take On ‘Purple Haze’

Swedish guitar icon Conny Bloom (of Electric Boys fame) returns with a bold and unexpected take on ‘Purple Haze‘, reimagining the timeless classic through his own unmistakable sonic lens. Originally inspired by an experimental attempt to reinterpret the song in Swedish, Bloom’s version evolved into something entirely new – stripping away imitation in favor of atmosphere, groove, and personal expression.

Jimi’s music is kinda sacred”, Bloom states. “I decided to try this song in Swedish, which I then couldn’t use due to publishing rights. It helped me come up with a version that is different from the original”.

With deep respect for Jimi Hendrix’s legacy, Bloom transforms a sacred piece of rock history into a fresh, distinctive statement that bridges eras while standing firmly on its own.
