Bio:

Ivory Moon is where symphonic metal meets passion, power, and emotion. Music runs through our veins — it is their very essence.

The band was born in the summer of 2000, and by May 2002 they had already released their self titled promotional CD, ‘Ivory Moon‘, marking the first step of their musical journey.

In 2004, they recorded their debut album ‘On The Edge of Time‘, released by Battle Hymns Records. This first effort immediately caught the attention of symphonic metal fans, laying the foundation for what would become the band’s distinctive and recognizable sound.

By the end of 2005, after several line-up changes, Ivory Moon entered a new creative phase, developing fresh ideas for the second album. In 2007, at Temple of Noise Studios in Rome, the powerful and sophisticated tones of ‘Human Nature‘ came to life. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Christian Ice, the album was released by Ulterium Records, confirming the band’s place on the international symphonic metal scene.

In 2012, the band released their third album, ‘Dark Time‘, through Spider Rock. This release was supported by a series of live shows and a promotional tour across Italy alongside Freedom Call, allowing them to reach an ever-growing audience. That same year, they also took the stage at the Metal On Earth Festival in Rovigo.

After years of growth, experimentation, and live performances — including shows in renowned venues across Rome such as Traffic and Defrag — the band returned in 2020 with ‘Lunar Gateway‘. Released by Volcano Records and Promotion and once again produced at Temple of Noise Studios, the album represents a true evolution of their sound while staying true to their symphonic roots.

Today, Ivory Moon is ready to begin a brand-new chapter with their fifth studio album, ‘The Silent Ruins of Mars‘. Featuring 13 tracks that embrace our two decades of music while pushing toward a modern and captivating future, this album has been mixed once again by Christian Ice at Temple of Noise Studios.
