The Sheepdogs Announce New LP – ‘Keep Out Of The Storm’

Today, beloved Canadian rockers The Sheepdogs announce their brand-new full-length album ‘Keep Out Of The Storm‘, arriving February 27th, 2026.

The multi-platinum, four-time JUNO Award–winning band will release ‘Keep Out Of The Storm‘ via their own label Right On Records, distributed worldwide by The Orchard.

Their first LP since the departure of longtime drummer Sam Corbett, the album finds the band tapping an impressive roster of guest drummers and friends including JUNO-nominated Trevor Falls, Adam Hindle (Dwayne Gretzky, Born Ruffians), Steve Kiely (Golden Feather), Jordan Murphy (Adam Baldwin, Walrus), and Dani Nash (July Talk).

Ever-independent and fiercely self-reliant, The Sheepdogs have built a career on good vibes, great songs, harmonies, and irresistible live shows. With their own label and their own timeline, the band have embraced a freedom that allows them to release music as often as inspiration strikes — while still honouring their deep love of the long-player format.

Keep Out Of The Storm‘ battens down the hatches and rock’n’rolls with the punches, delivering eleven fresh, salty, high-seas ready tracks including their recent hit single ‘Nobody But You‘, which climbed to #17 Billboard Mainstream Rock (Canada), #14 Active Rock, and was one of the format’s most added tracks this week.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Thomas D’Arcy and produced by the band’s own Ewan Currie, this marks their first full-length since 2022’s ‘Outta Sight‘ and follows a tremendous streak for the band. In 2025, The Sheepdogs completed a sold-out cross-Canada arena tour in support of Bryan Adams, following the release of their twin 2024 EPs ‘Paradise Alone‘ and ‘Hell Together‘, as well as the launch of Right On Records.

If the EPs ‘Hell Together‘ and ‘Paradise Alone‘ reflected some difficult chapters in ‘Paradise Alone‘’s personal life — including time spent alone in the Florida Keys — then ‘Keep Out Of The Storm‘ is the flip side: a buoyant, upbeat, hook-heavy search for better weather. Catchy as hell, and paradise for every Sheepdogs fan.

Bassist and manager Ryan Gullen states: “We’re really looking forward to kicking off 2026 with ‘Keep Out of the Storm‘. These new songs feel like they set the tone for the next chapter of the band. There’s something special about discovering an album as you make it, and in the case of a full length album, you get the space to stretch out, find the groove, and watch it all come together as a whole. Working with a handful of drummers we really respect added new colours and energy to the sessions, and recording everything live in the room brought the songs to life in a way that felt immediate and exciting. We can’t wait for people to hear it and to bring these songs on the road to experience them together.

Frontman Ewan Currie comments on the forthcoming record: “We are all trying to weather the storms in our lives, big or small, literal or figurative. That’s what living is: finding shelter, finding love, finding hope and we find all of those in rock n roll. Don’t let the gloomy title fool you; ‘Keep Out of the Storm‘ is full of light and love and guitars that rip and sweet singing that moves you. You’ll dance, you’ll nod your head, you’ll dance and you’ll fall in love. As long as there’s living, there’s going to be stormy weather…it’s just all about finding that shelter.
