River Rise Band formed by Juliana von Mühlen (vocals), Márcio Arend (guitar), Marcelo Pesh (drums) and Ozéias Rodrigues (bass), has just released their third album: ‘Changing Seasons‘. Launched on November 4th, 2025, this new project is already available on streaming platforms. In the band’s history, the fruits: ‘Right Path‘ (album; March 2021), ‘Leave Behind‘ (EP; March 2022), ‘Untold Stories‘ (album; February 2023) and ‘From Inside Out‘ (Live Session, June 2024).
Time goes on, some things are left behind, some things follow boldly, others obstruct the flow. Both in life and in art. This is the direction River Rise Band‘s third album takes. Overcoming obstacles in many ways, ‘Changing Seasons‘ reflects, thematically and sonically, a cyclical movement: after the storm, the calm, but also some wreckage. The increasingly profound lyrics, written by the vocalist, make us reflect on changes—the necessary ones, the dreamed ones and the imposed ones. Sonically denser, exploring different tunings, tones, and time signatures, this well-matured work is clearly a watershed in the band’s journey.
Márcio Arend‘s guitars build vibrant songs, with intense riffs and surprising rhythmic changes, which gain strength from the incisive bass lines and explosive drumming. With a progressive touch, River Rise Band ushers in a new season, and Juliana von Mühlen‘s versatile vocals burst forth like a cold current of a river, but they also know how to blow like a cool breeze over the incandescent notes. It’s a good harvest season for us all! ‘Changing Seasons‘ was composed, produced and recorded by Juliana von Mühlen and Márcio Arend, in their home studio, in the first half of 2025. The guitarist is also responsible for the mixing and mastering of all songs.
