Belfast’s multi award winning Dom Martin releases his latest single, ‘Government (Live)‘, today, offering fans the first taste of his highly anticipated live double album ‘Buried Alive‘, released on Friday, December 13th, 2024. The album, a unique blend of electric and acoustic tracks, was recorded live across various iconic venues in Europe and the UK, featuring a powerful line-up of songs from all three of Dom’s original studio albums.
The release of ‘Government (Live)‘ is accompanied by a live video, captured during Dom’s 2023 ‘Buried In The Hail‘ tour at The Caves in Edinburgh. The video offers a raw, captivating glimpse into Dom’s artistry, giving fans yet another reason to celebrate his music as he announces a special acoustic tour in late Spring 2025.
Dom was voted best Acoustic Blues Artist 3 years running 2020-21-22 and Blues Instrumentalist of the year 2022 and 2023. His latest studio album ‘Buried in the Hail‘ (review here) won Best Blues Album 2024.
Arguably one of the best guitarists in the UK today, the singer songwriter has been likened to the late greats Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore with his skilful playing, deep song-writing skills, powerful vocal and commanding stage presence.
“I’m so looking forward to the 2025 acoustic tour and I’m planning something a little different this time around” and Dom adds “I’ve also got the up and coming Thomas Heppell as special guest and I know my audience will really enjoy what he does.”
Dom’s acoustic performances have consistently drawn sold-out crowds, with his intimate shows resonating deeply with fans across the UK and Ireland.
