The Almighty Reunite With Original Line-Up For UK Shows

The original line-up of The Almighty have reunited for a trio of headline shows later this year.

Ricky Warwick (vocals, guitars), Stump Munroe (drums), Floyd London (bass) and Andy ‘Tantrum’ McCafferty (guitars) will kick off their ‘one time only’ reunion with a very special show at Glasgow Barrowlands on Thursday 30th November.

The Almighty then play Manchester Academy on Friday 1st December before concluding at London O2 Forum Kentish Town on Saturday 2nd December. Special guests at all four concerts are Scottish rockers Balaam and the Angel.

The three concerts will mark the first time the original line-up of The Almighty have performed together since Tantrum exited the band 32 years ago. The Almighty split 14 years ago back in 2009.

Planet Rock has a 24-hour pre-sale to The Almighty’s reunion tour that starts at Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Thursday 2nd March. General sale follows on Friday 3rd March.

All four members of The Almighty announced their reunion at a London press conference today (27th February) that was livestreamed on their official Facebook page.

Confirming the reunion will be fleeting, a statement from The Almighty’s representatives reads: ‘‘With buildings chosen from tours of old for the great experience had by all who attended, the band give you the chance to relive those days for one last time.

‘Once these shows are over that will be it, the band will go back to being the Legends of Brit Rock in everyone’s memory from those glorious times of the late 80s and early 90s.’’
