Jamie Porter Band Set To Release Two Tracks On November 11th

Why release one single when you can release two! The Jamie Porter Band will be releasing two singles on November 11th,  a cover of ZZ Top‘s ‘Sharp Dressed Man‘ and ‘Hero‘ which was originally on 2014’s ‘Restless Soul‘ EP.

Both tracks will be released by Audamouse Records.

Hero‘ was written on Monday 27th May, 2013. Jamie Porter comments ”

I had always wanted to write a song for the unsung heroes out there, a tribute to people who do jobs that take care of others and some􀀚mes have to put their lives on the line. On Wednesday 22nd of May 2013, Lee Rigby was murdered in the street in his own country. I was absolutely devastated by this, and out of this moment came the song ‘Hero’ a few days later. This song is dedicated to the armed forces, emergency services, nhs, care workers, volunteers and anyone else who puts themselves on the line for others.

Speaking about ‘Sharp Dressed ManJamie says “ZZ Top has always been a favourite of Jamie’s, and this track is included in the set from time to time. It just feels like time to do some covers and have a bit of fun, given the current climate! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it!”

Both songs will be available as a digital release from 11th November on all major digital pla􀀧orms as a streaming release only.
