Swedish nostalgic rockers Nestor have been nominated for a Swedish Grammis in the category Hard Rock/Metal for their debut album release ‘Kids In A Ghost Town‘ (review here) that was released on October 22nd 2021. Recently the band signed with esteemed label Napalm Records (who will re-release the album in an enhanced deluxe edition later this year), but when Nestor released the album and its preceding singles during last year, they did so completely on their own, with no major label behind them.
The band has reinvented the iconography of rock on their mission to restore the glory of the beloved music genre from their childhood and teens in the late 1980s, both in sound, spirit and in visuals with their stunning music videos, also completely self produced.
Nestor have already played the big arena stages at home in Sweden, as well as boarded the legendary Monsters of Rock Cruise recently, and are now gearing up for a busy 2022 with live performances scheduled on several of the summer festivals in Sweden and Europe, along with many other interesting venues. The highlight of the tour will most definitely be when they play in their hometown on August 13th in Falköpings Folkets Park at their own creation, dubbed Nestor Fest.
