Buck & Evans – Live At Rockfield

I’m going to start by saying I am biased when it comes to this band. Absolutely love them.

After hearing one track from their debut EP, I promptly shot over to their website and bought it. Since then we’ve had ‘RN2R live in Arizona‘ and now this release ‘Live At Rockfield’

What you get are three tracks of wonderful blues rock, soul & R&B. That’s proper R&B, not what goes for R&B these days. Sally Ann Evans has such a fabulous voice with real warmth and texture. As for Chris Buck, well here we have a guitarist (& former guest of Rockposer’s Roulette) whose talents have brought him attention Worldwide and accolades from some very well known fellow guitarists. Yes he lets rip, but the majority of his playing is really ‘less is more’

I must not leave out the rhythm section of the band, Dominic Hill on bass and Bob Richards on drums. To say these two run a tight ship would be an understatement. But with their combined experience one shouldn’t be surprised.

I’m not going to individually ‘review’ the three tracks on this EP. Instead I’m going to simply say go buy it immediately and envelop yourself in pure class.
