New Wave of Classic Rock favourites Bad Touch are pleased to announce the release of their new studio album ‘Kiss The Sky‘ released by Marshall Records on Friday 19th June 2020. To celebrate, the band release their new single ‘Strut‘ on Friday 13th March. The same day will also see the new album available for pre-order. Fans can sign up to Bad Touch‘s mailing list at www.badtouchrocks.co.uk to be notified about the pre-order. The new album will be released on CD, white vinyl and digital download.

Strut‘ will be available to purchase digitally from Friday 13th March. The single will also be available as an instant grat track with all pre-orders of the new album. ‘Kiss The Sky‘ will be supported by a nationwide 12-date UK headline tour that kicks off at The Waterfront in Norwich on March 30th. All UK tour dates will feature Piston as main special guest, plus local supports.

Bad Touch‘s highly anticipated fourth studio album ‘Kiss The Sky‘ was recorded, produced and mixed by Nick Brine at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales. The album was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London.

We’re so excited about this recording,” says lead singer Stevie Westwood. “Just to record our songs in such a legendary place as Rockfield was a real buzz. I know it’s a cliché but, in our humble opinion, this is our most exciting recording to date, and we can’t wait to get it out there in front of a crowd.

Kiss The Sky‘ is a no-nonsense rock and roll album at heart. For their fourth album, Bad Touch have stripped everything right back and looked at what the essence of what makes a great album and at the core, great songs. They’ve stuck to what they do best, which is writing catchy, feel good rock music.

The songs were initially written in their practice studio “The Cabin” in Norfolk where the band feels most comfortable and can focus on the songs without outside world interference. The band have really nailed their sound on this album. When you turn it on you will instantly know it’s Bad Touch.

The production side of the album is about capturing the performance within the band themselves and capturing the “moment” and energy the band produce during their live shows. More plugging straight in, turning everything to 10 and going for it.

Kiss the Sky‘ is a power-packed album that has the groove with huge chorus hooks, foot stomping guitar riffs and an abundance of energy overflowing within each track. If you want to see what all the fuss is about catch Bad Touch on tour throughout March and April 2020.

South Carolinian-born Hannah Wicklund will release her third album ‘Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin’ Stones‘ on Strawberry Moon Records in the UK on Friday 13th September. The album was produced by Sadler Vaden, guitarist for Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit and received rave review when it was released in the US last year.

The album dovetails her nationwide UK Roadstars tour with Piston and Gorilla Riot in October. Tickets for the UK tour can be booked via www.planetrocktickets.co.uk and www.thegigcartel.com and from the 24 hour box office: 08444 780 898.

The 10-track self-released album was recorded in Nashville, TN and is a fresh take on Wicklund’s musical influences drawn from ’60s, ’70s and ’80s guitar-driven rock. “Once we started writing some songs, I saw that she had a real, raw talent,” says Producer Vaden. “I was inspired to work with her by her love of classic rock music and blues. I wanted to honour that in making this album, but also add a little modern edge to it.”

On her latest self-titled album, Wicklund taps into the fury of loneliness (Ghost). She resurrects spectres of Hendrix and Joplin (Looking Glass) as well as power ballad intensity (Strawberry Moon). Then, just as she’s supercharged you with about as much raw energy as you can channel, she lets you down gently with the acoustic intimacy of Shadow Boxes, but even here, her singing achieves an intensity that most artists can only dream of matching. Her music stands on a bedrock of razor-edged, old-school rock ’n’ roll reanimated by a new generation’s urgency.

That impression is doubly emphasised in the video for the album’s first single, Bomb Through The Breeze (playlisted on Planet Rock) It’s a hurricane of swirling colour interspersed with spare shots of Wicklund and her band in action, with black bunnies and slithering snakes adding an eerie visual complement.

The video for the latest single Shadowbowboxes and Porcelain Faces showcases the emotional toll the darkness of our digital lives takes. Says Hannah: “The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, but for me it was meant to show how consumed by technology you can feel sometimes.” She continues: “Growing up in this day and age, there has been a screen in front of me constantly—especially during my last three years touring in the United States.” The footage used in the video are from Cuba, where she spent a week was completely detached from her phone. “It was very refreshing to detox and I came back feeling a lot more refreshed and a big reason was because of the lack of a screen constantly in my face,” she explains.

Piston are a British five-piece rock ‘n’ roll engine made up of four members from the Midlands greased with a vocal roar from the south; which, when put together and fired up produce a no-nonsense sound not to be reckoned with! Piston will release their long awaited self-titled debut album on Friday 13th September 2019. The album is self-released with distribution by Music Glue. The 10-track album was recorded at Silk Mill Studios in Newcastle Under Lyme and produced by Dan Swift (Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode). Two bonus tracks, One More Day and Rainmaker were remixed by Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon). The upcoming album features the searing, infectious anthems — Blow It Away, One More Day and their current single, Rainmaker. The album is a rock n’ roll rollercoaster ride treading the fine line between chaos and radio friendly rebellious rock. It’s got the guitar spirit of the Cult and the hi-octane energy of the Foo Fighters.

Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones are fronted by a 21-year-old powerhouse guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. The South Carolina-born, Nashville-based artist who formed the band as an eight-year-old, has developed a powerful and sublime synthesis of guitar skills and makes it clear that the future is hers for the taking. Hannah has performed over 2,000 shows including festival appearances. Here, she digs in deep, hits hard, and crushes it. Her latest album is an aural kaleidoscope of blazing guitars and searing vocals, that establishes Wicklund as a triple-threat player, singer and writer in the same vein as Susan Tedeschi and the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde. The album’s producer, Sadler Vaden, who’s also guitarist with Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, says, “Once we started writing some songs, I saw that she had a real, raw talent and had a love of classic rock music and blues. I wanted to honour that in making this album, but also add a little modern edge to it.”

Gorilla Riot are a 5-piece dirty rock n’ roll blues machine from Manchester, England. They play raucous blues-based rock, combining elements of grunge, stoner and country to create a full-on high energy rock show.

Created by frontman, Arjun Bhishma, he’s surrounded himself with the best talent in Manchester, creating a 3-prong guitar attack with multi-part harmonies. Featuring Arjun on lead vocals and guitar, Liam Henry (guitars, vocals), Charly T. (guitars, vocals), and James “Deggy” Degnen (bass).

The band began song writing and soon entered the studio to record their debut self-titled album. This set them on their path to deliver their blues-drenched dirty sound that evolved into the acclaimed EP, Six Shots Down in 2017.

Piston are a British five-piece rock ‘n’ roll engine made up of four members from the Midlands greased with a vocal roar from the south; which, when put together and fired up produce a no-nonsense sound not to be reckoned with!

The band release the second single ‘Rainmaker’ from the upcoming album on Friday 31st May. The single was produced by Dan Swift and remixed by Romesh Dodangoda. Their first single ‘One More Day’ received airplay on BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show with Johnnie Walker, Planet Rock and many more.

‘Rainmaker’ is a thunderstorm of slow dirty riffs, kept up to pace with the constant thumping from the rhythm section and preacher style vocals, it is the very essence of rolling thunder forced down the ear drums. This track never strays too far from its path and just when you think it’s going to give you a break in the pre-chorus, it drags you back by the scruff of the neck into the heavy ostinato!

Guitarist Jack Edwards has described the recording process of the track: “Rainmaker was the very first track we recorded for the album. You can hear all of our excitement in the track — we were all back together in one room and we tracked it right then and there! We love it and its not perfect, and we don’t want it to be — rock n’ roll has never been perfect. It’s a huge step in the new sound of Piston, it will easily stand there with some of the modern greats, but it most certainly pays homage to some of our idols.

Piston will release their long awaited self-titled debut album on Friday 13th September 2019. The album was recorded at Silk Mill Studios in Newcastle Under Lyme and produced by Dan Swift (Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode) and singles remixed by Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon).

The upcoming album features the searing, infectious anthems — ‘One More Day’ and ‘Rainmaker’. The album is a rock n’ roll rollercoaster ride treading the fine line between chaos and radio friendly rebellious rock. It’s got the guitar spirit of the Cult and the hi-octane energy of the Foo Fighters.

This album is the embodiment of hard work for the boys, having recorded one album already and choosing to scrap it all and start again in the pursuit of finding ‘their sound’. The album tips it’s hat to different genres as it progresses, but never strays too far from the path its intended to go down, it shows diversity, power and confidence from the first contact between stick and drum right until the last chord has been struck.

Piston will embark on a Co-headlining UK tour in September 2019 with Collateral to promote the album. Tickets for all concerts can be booked from www.pistonuk.com.
