Tom Davies and the Bluebirds ‘Angel on the Mississippi’ Out April 10th

Tom Davies & The Bluebirds formed in 2019 and formed their current incarnation in 2022. The band hail from the South of England (Hampshire) UK. They perform around the UK and Eire at blues clubs and festivals, with appearances in Europe in 2026.

The band are influenced by the 3 kings and other iconic blues artists, such as Peter Green, Gary Moore, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the list goes on. The band released their first EP in June 2024.

Tom and the band have received national recognition, being voted top 5 UK Emerging Blues Act in 2025. With Tom, individually being voted Top 5 UK Young Blues Artist 2025 & 2026.

Angel On The Mississippi‘ is the debut album release from the band which draws together a mix of the songwriting styles and musical arrangements by Tom, aged 22 years. His feel and understanding of blues music through a young person’s perspective which is far beyond his years. The album tells a story. The last track, a simple finale which has been described as ”like a sombre hymn, it’s coda unfurling with a stately, almost liturgical gravity, a fitting benediction”.
