Maid of Stone launches its 12-day run of artist announcements with two huge names stepping into the Sunday spotlight for 2026: Uriah Heep and The Almighty. Both bands will take headline positions on Sunday 19 July, bringing one of the festival’s strongest final-day line-ups to date.
Uriah Heep arrive as British rock pioneers, with over 50 years of touring history, a global force still hitting major stages across Europe today. Their presence adds serious weight to the festival’s closing day. This will be their only UK show in 2026.
They’re joined by The Almighty, Ricky Warwick’s powerhouse band, one of the UK’s most explosive live bands of the 90s, still performing to packed crowds today.
Their addition delivers a surge of energy and nostalgia that long-time fans will recognise immediately.
Festival booker Chris Wright says:
“When we became aware both bands were available it was impossible to choose – we had to find a way to have both. They’re huge names with huge histories, and having them share the Sunday spotlight just felt right. This is exactly the kind of moment that makes building this festival worthwhile. What a way to close the 2026 show.”
Today marks Day One of Maid of Stone’s 12-day festive run, with new acts revealed daily. When complete, the additions will sit alongside already-announced artists including Saxon, The Temperance Movement, and The Wildhearts, forming the full 2026 line-up.
